Our Favorite Asian-Owned Companies of 2022

by Kelsey Vanderlip / May 09, 2022
May marks Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a celebration of the people and their contributions to American culture. As an Asian-American founded and operated company, this is a cause that is close to our hearts. The heritage of many of our team members runs deeply through the fabric of everything we create here at SENREVE and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating this incredible community.

This year more than ever, as anti-Asian violence continues to be an everyday reality for the AAPI community, and we encourage you to stand in solidarity.  As a first step, you can read  this note from our founder highlighting important organizations and resources to support the AAPI community.

You can also show your support by using your purchasing power to give back and champion small Asian-American-owned brands. We’ll be highlighting some of our team’s favorite AAPI owned brands and hope you’ll join us in support of this incredible community of entrepreneurs.

Here’s our roundup of AAPI-owned fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands for you to support this and every month. If you have any brands that we should add to our list, we’d love to hear from you! Shoot us an email, or a DM on Instagram.

Fashion Brands

1. Amyo

“At AMYO (Accessories Make Your Outfit), we believe in creating modern and timeless everyday fine quality jewelry. Women made, women run, made in NYC.”

2. Sandy Liang

“Liang is known for her not-too-prissy princess dresses and fun fleeces, but this season also offers boxy pants that you could easily wear to an office, a camel corduroy coat, and a riff on a trench coat featuring a Peter Pan collar.”

3. Chunks

“I started Chunks in 2019 because I couldn’t find a cute hair clip. It started out as a one-woman operation out of my basement but has evolved into a small dedicated team, growing this brand with purpose.”

4. Kinflyte

“Vivian Lee came up with the concept for Kinflyte based on her own challenges as a working mom. Raising kids, working in the tech industry, and commuting long hours took a toll on her back, neck and shoulders.”

Beauty Brands

1. Strange Bird Beauty

“Self-care is about creating integrity around what makes you feel the best about yourself, so that you can be the best version of yourself, and live your best life. Remember, it's not about what you do...but how you do it.”

2. Cocokind

3. Pink Moon

“I’m committed to creating a space that speaks to you respectfully, honors you through a curation of products that are consciously created, inspires you to slow down and genuinely love yourself, and is supportive of your self-love journey.”

3. Brightland

“My personal experience inspired the idea for Brightland, which was born out of a desire for time-honored food production - and a deep belief in the land and what it provides.”
